More than 2 decades ago, I left Washington, DC my hometown. I had never lived anywhere else. I took a leap of faith moving to the Bay area. My intention was to sing as much as I could and to express my gift more fully. I wanted to know myself in a deeper way and for me music was the key on many levels. My musical journey has led me to many wonderful experiences. Through singing other doors opened magically. I now view myself not only as a vocalist but also an actress, storyteller and performance coach. I now work with young people as a mentor and that has been most rewarding. How I got to this place has been a circular route but each step allowed me to understand my life and express myself uniquely. Now I am living my dream, performances in Bulgaria, Macedonia,Paris and throughout the US, acting and working with others as a performance coach and most importantly mentoring and coaching young people to embrace their creativity. Singing jazz is pure freedom and permeates every aspect of my life. It is a metaphor of how we must improvise in life and just go with whatever presents itself. For wherever we are is where we need to be in any given moment. Live your dream! Cecilia
